Champion of Champion Pairs

Congratulations are in order for Peter van der Zande and Michael Hofman, who won the NDBD Champion of Champions Pairs at Kerang Golf last Sunday. They played Barham Sports in the morning, and beat the Leitchville team of John Walters and Peter Griffiths, 16/10 in the afternoon. IN the lead up to the finals, Peter played with Des Easton as a substitute, when Michael was unavailable.

However, this story is about a feat that doesn’t happen too often in any Club. Michael may well be the first member of our Club to win the Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours in one season – a fantastic effort for a person who has been bowling for only about four years.

In the Triples he partnered with Peter and Jon Henty, and in the Fours he was with Jeff Reade, Des Easton and Peter. The many hours of practice certainly paid off for you this year Michael. Well Done!!
